OpenNMS on a Rapberry PI - how?

0 votes
I could not find a compiled version of Opennms for the arm processor so attempted to compile it from source.  Was unable to compile jicmp or jicmp6 as they required a version 5 JDK, then was unable to compile Opennms as the ./configure step was unable to allocate enough heap space to proceed.  The Pi has a Terabyte of Hard Drive space, but is of course very limited in memory.

I'm being force to run Nagios at this time.  Would prefer to install Opennms on this small server.

Getting OpenNMS on a Raspberry Pi is probably not going to work. OpenNMS requires a lot of memory. If you can install OpenNMS on a dedicated or virtual machine you could try Minions. They run very smoothly and without any problems on a Raspberry Pi. See for example https://docs.opennms.org/opennms/releases/latest/guide-install/guide-install.html#gi-minion for more information. There is also a docker image for Minion: https://hub.docker.com/r/opennms/minion/
