Does anybody tried Kerberos Authentication with OpenNMS?

Now that OpenNMS 1.12 uses Spring Security 3.1 - does anybody still have a working config for Kerberos Authentication (Single Sign On) against MS ActiveDirectory?

Our goal is to integrate OpenNMS in an Intranet Portal solution and this is currently our biggest show-stopper.

Thank you so far

Hallo Friedrich,

Are you referring to Spring Security 3.1's support for CAS? Or something else? I can't find anything in the 3.1 docs that mentions Kerberos specifically.

I've seen one organization get AD-based single sign-on working with OpenNMS but it was in the Spring Security 2.0 days and it involved Apache HTTPD with mod_auth_krb as a front-end to Jetty.

Dear Jeff,

some time ago, i found this article here : http://projects.spring.io/spring-security-kerberos/#quick-start
Unfortunately, it´s not well documented for someone who´s not so familiar in building spring-security from scratch.
So i would be glad, if there´s someone out there who has a little bit more experience than we have and wants to share his knowledge to the community.

Thanks and best regards
