Hey guys,

is there something to keep in mind? Ok, the clients must be configured. I know that. But on server side?

stop OpenNMS
change IP
start OpenNMS

Changing the IP of your server should not require any additional steps.

You should make sure, the new IP address has the same network access privileges like the old one. Think of firewalls, routing, SNMP access. It becomes more complicated if you use OpenNMS as a central logging system. You have to change all logging targets in your network. So for this reason use DNS and FQDN as trap targets if your agents allow it.
I will replace the old OpenNMS server with a new one. The new one should get the old IP address. So firewall rules, snmp config etc. should be no problem.
