Can I use OpenNMS Horizon as a front end for remote servers running Nagios?

We have several remote Linux servers running Nagios. Is it possible for OpenNMS to suck all the data from their databases to display using Horizon?

What kind of data do you want to display in Horizon? Is it the data already gathered by Nagios or is it the monitoring data from your Linux database server?

My requirements analysis is updated: we want to monitor several remote servers and routers in Alaska with a local Nagios (or OpenNMS server.) However, because our connection is a narrow (~56.6) satellite link from Alaska to Houston (and then to us in Washington State) we can’t afford the bandwidth to continuously monitor the OpenNMS dashboard remotely. I’d like to display the remote server’s dashboard but configure the remote server to only update the dashboard if a host status changes. It would be trivial to configure a text message/email alert but my boss wants a dashboard.
