remove lldp link info on topology & monitor link status

0 votes
Hi, Dears

I have installed a opennms 20.0.1-1 windows version system. I have to questions:

1) remove the lldp link

On the topology, there are many links find by opennms by LLDP/Bridge/OSPF, I suppose to remove the link get by the LLDP.

First I use both lldp & ospf to find the link on the topology. And now I want to remove the line info detected by LLDP. I tried to edit the lldp as 'use-lldp-discovery="false"'in the enlinkd-configuration.xml, but after restart the opennms the link for lldp is still there. I also remove the item 'use-lldp-discovery="false"' in the file, it also doesn't work.

I want to know how to remove the LLDP link info on the topology, thanks´╝ü

2) link status monitor

Another question is how to monitor the link status on the topology:

For example, I use OSPF as the link info, if the ospf is down, can I have any notice directly on the topology?

For example, use red as problem & green as normal status on the link.

Any advice will be appreciated, thanks a lot!

Hello Zhou,

you can delete the links manually by removing the elements from the database:

delete from lldpelement;
delete from lldplink;
delete from cdpelement;
delete from cdplink;

The link status should be reflected in the topology according to the status of the link. To verify this, please ensure that you have alarms with an uei uei.opennms.org/internal/topology/linkDown which are uncleared.
