I would like to use the DHCP monitoring, I followed:

https://docs.opennms.org/opennms/releases/18.0.1/guide-admin/guide-admin.html#_dhcpmonitor

Setting a did:

service-configuration.xml

   <service enabled="true">
      <name>OpenNMS:Name=Dhcpd</name>
      <class-name>org.opennms.netmgt.dhcpd.jmx.Dhcpd</class-name>
      <invoke method="start" pass="1" at="start"/>
      <invoke method="status" pass="0" at="status"/>
      <invoke method="stop" pass="0" at="stop"/>
   </service>

poller-configuration.xml

    <service name="DHCP" interval="300000" user-defined="false" status="on">
       <parameter key="retry" value="2"/>
       <parameter key="timeout" value="3000"/>
       <parameter key="rrd-repository" value="/var/lib/opennms/rrd/response"/>
       <parameter key="rrd-base-name" value="dhcp"/>
       <parameter key="ds-name" value="dhcp"/>
    </service>

At the end:

  <monitor service="DHCP" class-name="org.opennms.protocols.dhcp.monitor.DhcpMonitor"/>

DHCP

<DhcpdConfiguration
        port="5818"
        macAddress="00:15:5d:33:16:0d"      <!--Used the mac addres of the OpenNMS test server -->
        myIpAddress="192.168.51.201"        <!--Used the ip-address of the OpenNMS test server -->
        extendedMode="false"
        requestIpAddress="127.0.0.1">
</DhcpdConfiguration>

The Node server in the webgui, dhcp is monitored, but is down.

I try to monitor a Windows DHCP server, in the same subnet.

Kind regards,
Fred
